We work with local authorities and other organisations in the Ryedale area to ensure our support reaches those who need it, through foodbank referrals.
Quite often people in need of food are already being helped by a statutory or voluntary service. We recommend that anyone needing a food parcel should contact one of these agencies.
The agency can provide support or advice for the underlying crisis. They will also assess your reasons for needing a food parcel and will provide a voucher detailing all the basic information needed by the food bank, such as name, address, family size and the nature of the need.
We will then be able to prepare a food parcel including the most appropriate items for your needs. Please let the person issuing the voucher know if you have any dietary requirements, eg. vegetarian, vegan, gluten free or food intolerances and we will do our best to help.
